Geneva/New York (WMO) - According to a new report from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), in another ominous climate change alert, atmospheric levels of three major greenhouse gases - carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide - reached new highs in 2021.

The concentration of carbon dioxide in 2021 was 415.7 parts per million (ppm), methane was 1908 parts per billion (ppb), and nitrous oxide was 334.5 ppb.
